Reports Report 322ff (Event 322-2012)

Observer
Name Philomen P
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I don\'t know for sure if I saw a fireball, but I saw a bright and fairly large light (larger and brighter than a full moon) in the sky appear and then disappear a couple of seconds later. I didn\'t see if moving. I didn\'t attach much importance to it, so didn\'t note down the time or anything (it was some time between 9.30 and 10.30pm, but within that range I couldn\'t say for sure), but it seemed interesting enough that I mentioned it to my partner and we made jokes about UFOs. I noticed that there wasn\'t any noise (otherwise I\'d have wondered if it could come from an aircraft), and that it was too high in the sky to be associated with a building. Today we noticed a news story about a meteor, and that makes us think this is what it was. But don\'t build too much on it--I have very little observing experience!
