| Remarks | I was driving northwest on I-22 somewhere near New Albany, Mississippi when I saw the fireball. At first I thought someone was shooting fireworks, but it lasted too long at a constant brightness for that. It was multi-colored, with a dark blue center and yellow and orange around the edges. The light was longer along its axis of flight, and its trailing edge was vee shaped. Its trajectory made it appear to dive toward the horizon from my right side leftward. Since I was driving at the time, my location and direction and time are approximate. |
