Remarks I was driving when I saw this. It roughly paralleled my direction of travel (south to north), and was to the northwest of me. I\'d estimate it as being somewhere between the following 3 points.... Newburgh, New York and Danbury, Connecticut, and Albany, NY.

Remarks This was the first of 2 events I witnessed on my way home from work tonight. I am a former officer of the Astronomical Society of New Haven, and one of the organizers of the Connecticut Star Party. I am also a former NASA JPL Solar System Ambassador. This was a bolide, very fast. The meteor extinguished in about 8 wonderful seconds. The trail lasted a few precious more!
