| Remarks | The coolest thing about this was it was almost right in front of the super wolf blood moon. I went outside just for a couple minutes as the shadow was just about to completely cover the red moon. The fireball shot pretty much directly east. Right toward and by the moon (just a couple degrees north of it). I've never seen a fireball before, but the length, brightness, and how red it got, as well as it's apparent proximity was not like any shooting star I've seen before. It lasted 1.5-2.5 second and left a quickly dissolving train. Very cool! And this was on a residential street in Seattle with some (not heavy streetlighting). Crystal clear night and I feel very lucky to have observed this. I hope there are some others out there that might be able to confirm it. Thanks! |
