Remarks I was driving at the time so if there was sound, I would not have heard it. Weather was growing misty so object must have been quite bright to be seen through the cloud. Happy to answer any other questions.

Remarks Object got brighter as is headed north, at about 45 degrees it split with a smaller section breaking off ahead of the main object. Both parts then disappeared quickly.
