Reports Report 643ah (Event 643-2019)

Observer
Name Walley W
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks While the actual object was in its path from very high straight downward to the West-South West, it seemed to me that the object had a flat front. This means that the part of the object closest to the horizon during its entire trek was flat. The trail behind this object was narrower than at the front. However, this is the largest meteor I have ever seen in my life and thus the trail was much wider than I have ever seen as well. The fact that a smoke trail remained for at least 10 minutes made me think it was man-made instead of rock.

Remarks Smoke trail that glowed. My thoughts were that it was in elevation above the earth about the same as commercial aircraft. The aloft winds started to distort it after about a minute. After about 7 -8 minutes in took on the shape of a sideways "W" . After that the winds started moving it easterly. The trail was seen just to the right of the crescent moon up until these winds moved it "upwards" toward the 12 o'clock position. But the trail dissipated before it reached the 12 o'clock position.
Terminal flash
Observation No
Remarks -
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks Very briefly I saw very minute fragments slip off both sides of the trail. The object seemed to remain mostly intact until it fully dissipated.
