| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Did not see any object, but heard a very loud explosion sound. Much louder and more resonating that a normal sonic boom. The duration seemed to be a couple of seconds. Several people that we encountered also reported hearing this explosion sound. No one seemed to know what it was associated with, and considering our remote location it seemed very odd to us all. Also, people agreed that it seemed of longer duration and more explosion sounding that a typical sonic boom associated with aircraft. I personally have heard many sonic booms in my lifetime (53 yrs old), including space shuttle, and this seemed much longer duration and more explosive. |
