| Remarks | I had a perfect view of this object. It was directly north of me in a dark rural sky. The rapid pace of its fall and its width produced the illusion that it was very close. At first I first thought that it was a flare or pyrotechnic that fell into the middle of the road ahead. However, there were no buildings, vehicles, or people in the area where it might have originated. The sudden and extreme brightness at its termination seemed to indicate an explosion, but the complete lack of concussion led me to realize that the object was very far away. |
