Remarks It was very bright white. At first, thought it was an airplane part on fire, falling, since somewhat near O'Hare. The bright white ball's edges fizzled, it got bigger, exploded and quickly vanished. It had a small tail to it before it exploded. We were very close to it, and it was low. I expected to hear of feel the impact. Rolled down my vehicle window, but was drowned out by traffic noise. It seemed like it would have landed about 2 miles from where we were at. Because it was fast, low and mostly businesses in the area, I wonder if anyone else saw it? It was amazing, but since it was so close and on fire and exploding, it was a bit terrifying. I was startled and was yelping, because it was so close, on fire, and when I realized it wasn't a reflection of a street light on my vehicle window, which out of the corner of my eye, I expected it to be, and something much more serious. I was on the passenger side. I worried that it would hit something and worried about the damage. Maybe someone on I-90 saw it, as it's slightly elevated there. It had me tensed up even for a bit of time after seeing something like that, especially so close! Yikes! Too close for comfort!!! I enjoy them from a distance, but this was scary up close.
