Reports Report 1264h (Event 1264-2019)

Observer
Name Gregory G
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks Cloudy night 8 pm total darkness, Caught my attention as it appeared at an approximate 40 above the horizon. Bright, white light falling in a steep arc traveling east across my field of view from southern middle Tn. It was not firey at all but had a definitive yet short tail that luminesced. I knew what I was looking at immediately and viewed it for perhaps 2 full seconds before it seemingly burnt out.... only too reappear lower and more easternly about half a second later and just as bright as before having simply gone behind clouds. It continued for another second and was bright enough when it disappeared below the tree line that I froze waiting for a sound in the distance.......but nothing
