| Remarks | The flame that I saw was a brilliant white. It was before sunrise and the fire was so bright that it lit up a small area around it to blue sky, again similar to a night shuttle launch. Actually, as I write this I\'ve noticed the graphic of the earth on the right side of this webpage and the flame I saw was similar--a \"V\" pattern, but the flame was about 2-3 times thicker at the bottom of the \"V\" than your graphic. The object (minus the flame) eventually disappeared over the horizon. I waited for a sound or flash signifying impact, but nothing happened. It was quite an experience for an early morning jogger! Sorry if these observations aren\'t as detailed as you need--I just don\'t have the background to be sure I\'m giving you the data you need. |

| Remarks | What I saw had fire trailing from it on both sides, similar to a wide letter \"V\". It was traveling very, very fast. After about 5-7 seconds the fire died out and I could still see whatever it was, dim but glowing. I grew up on the Space Coast of Florida and have seen dozens of shuttle launches. At the end of the event the object looked similar to the shuttle after solid rocket booster separation. I don\'t know if what I saw was fragmentation--sorry, I have no astronomy background whatsoever. |
