Reports Report 793w (Event 793-2012)

Observer
Name Amy R
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I am open to the idea that it could have been something else, but I truly have never seen anything like this before. I have watched meteor showers before & I did see the far off fragments of the space shuttle breaking apart, not realizing what they were. This object was faster and seemed very close, relatively speaking. It had a somewhat deliberate path (if that makes any sense. I would love to know if others saw this & if this was really a meteorite.

Remarks Appeared as a very bright light/object in the sky streaking toward the earth approximately 15-20 degrees of vertical in a southwest direction. It turned green briefly & then became white again before exploding or disintegrating. Any fragmentation was very very brief. You could kind of tell that it broke apart in some way but there were no lasting visible pieces.
