Reports Report 1745g (Event 1745-2019)

Observer
Name Duane C J
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks Bright distinctively Blue in color and moving downward to the apparent horizon. I probably was late in seeing it as I was not looking in that direction. I saw the blue light and quickly turned and saw the streak from about 35deg of altitude and down to the horizon. Visibility was hampered because the whole streak I saw was through many deciduous trees with winter foliage. However, the color and apparent streak width was distinctive. (It was easy to remember the angles and positions because of the trees.) The apparent velocity only marginally slowed throughout my observed path. This somewhat indicates a very steep actual path down to the earth. I wouldn't be surprised if it hit the ground.
