Remarks I have seen a green shooting star once before, during the Perseid showers while up on the Bruce peninsula in Ontario province. Aside from the bright green color that one was typical - high in the sky, dropping down and of fairly short duration. This one was amazing! it was either really large or really close and looked like a large green orb with a distinct orange tail. I was driving on 283 east so please note that location is unfortunately approximate, somewhere near mile marker 119 (or 11.9?). I was trying to figure out where I was and it was somewhere before the Manheim/Mount Joy exit. I was so stunned by its size that I forgot to turn off the radio and listen. I did check the time and am certain it was just before 11pm. There were two other cars near mine and they surely had to have seen it. Bright and stunning!
