Reports Report 2197f (Event 2197-2019)

Observer
Name Brad G
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks The meteor was heading roughly 229 degrees southwest. I was outside already observing the full moon but had looked away for a minute at my phone when a very bright light was noticeable above me because of the glare it put off around me and on my phone. So I looked up and saw it starting to disintegrate like a firework going off sideways in the sky. Pretty colors of white and red trickled down momentarily.

Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks I saw the flash while looking down and that is what caused me to look up and see the meteor disintegrating. It looked like a compact firework going off sideways in the sky. It didn’t look as if it was too far away because the fragments could be seen similar to that if a firework. It was certainly not a firework!
