Reports Report 2836a (Event 2836-2019)

Observer
Name Andy M
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I was one in a group of four ornithological friends sat atop National Trust, Grandborough Hill, Norfolk, trying to observe the behaviour of European Storm Petrels off the North Norfolk Coastline. All four people witnessed the phenomenon as we were all looking out to sea. There were ships/boats in the shipping lane approximately 2 miles out and my initial thought was a green flare had been set off from one of the vessels until one of the group corrected me and went on to explain about the differences between meteors and fireballs.
