| Remarks | From my angle it appeared to be traveling too slow to be a shooting star and was too big/bright to be aircraft. I heard no "boom" either upon the sighting or after it left my site behind a bluff. It appeared almost out of nowhere and looked like it was travelling from UP to straight DOWN in direction. The only other thing I've witnessed like it was a satellite entering the atmosphere late at night back in late 2006. That event was similar but it appeared to be closer and had a loud, deep, "boom" which vibrated the windows on the car we were driving in on I-15 between St George and SLC, UT. It also lit up the night sky a bright white for about 2 seconds. Nothing like that happened on this sighting tonight. |
