Reports Report 1411a (Event 1411-2012)

Observer
Name Matthew D
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks This fireball was extremely slow moving. So slow, in fact, I was able to view it with a pair of binoculars to make sure it wasn't an aircraft. It was bright and large with a distinctly red-orange hue. As it traveled east-to-west, it seemed to have a short tail extending from it, elongating the object. After 21seconds of constant observation, I lost sight of it behind some nearby trees. I waited five minutes but heard no sound. The most unusual sighting I've had to date.
