Reports Report 1421a (Event 1421-2012)

Observer
Name Ken M
Experience Level 2/5
Remarks I was driving home from dinner along Helenbirg road and the meteor appeared nearly directly overhead. It was traveling on a course that was parallel to Helenbirg road, extremely bright and moving very fast. The meteor basically \"burned out\" or disappeared in less than a two seconds. My wife was in the car at the time and she saw it too. I would say that it passed nearly directly overhead and was traveling in a line concurrent with the track of Helenbirg road. I did not get a sense that it landed though and it may have just entered the atmosphere briefly and gone back into space. I have experience observing the ISS when it flies over my house. This was easily 3 or 4 times brighter (and larger) than the ISS and moving entirely too fast to be a satellite. If there is anything else I can do to assist in calssifying or finding this object, please let me know. One more thing. It was the coolest thing I\'ve seen in a long time.
