| Remarks | I\'m 61 yrs old, sober and a VietNam vet. It looked a lot like a plane hit by a missile but the explosion trailed the initial burst rather than surrounding it. Except for my night air combat experiences, I\'ve never seen anything like this. It was not traveling at the speed typical of a meteor. |

| Remarks | I was sitting on my patio watching TV at 7:45 pm PDT 10/17/12 and the strangest sight occurred in the western night sky. Moving from south to north about the speed of an airplane, a light got brighter and bigger, then started trailing what appeared to be sparks and fireballs. After a few seconds it looked like it burned out. I listened for a couple minutes but could hear nothing. What was it? |
