Remarks | This was a very bright, clearly visible object with a long, firey tail. The tail was glowing orange and appeared jagged & shaped like flames. The color changed from orange to bright yellow to brilliant, atomic white at the rounded head of the object. It was slow enough and bright enough to see for about 4 or 5 seconds, then it disappeared behind some trees from where we were standing at street level. The closest thing I can think of to describe it was that it looked like a bottle rocket. No noise at all from our vantage point, but others across the SF Bay said that they heard a sonic boom after it went out. |
