| Remarks | I have tried to catch meteor showers when they are reported to be expected. I have caught quite a few. I have never seen one so close, vivid, large and bright. Once in New Mexico I saw what I thought was a closeby meteor which did light up the sky like daylight. It turned out to be a falling sattlelite reported in Canada. Quite a different experience. |

| Remarks | I was driving. I was probably too far to hear anything since I believe this one fell near the San Francisco bay area which is at least 90 to 120 miles away. |

| Remarks | So large and bright that at first thought it was a plane crashing. (we were passing the Sacramento airport) It was large,then it broke into several pieces at least three. This was the largest and brightest I have ever seen. |
