Remarks There was no noticable trail at first. As I was walking my dog I continued to look up and after about 5 minutes I noticed what looked similar to a contrail in the path that the meteor traveled. It was clearly visable from ambient ground light pollution. It expanded in width over time and slowly moved across the sky toward the northeast, I'm assuming from the upper level wind. I could see the trail for more than 20 minutes. The trail began at about the point where the color of the meteor changed from light blue to orange and continued across the sky to where I lost sight of it.
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks The color of the meteor changed suddenly from a bright light blue to a bright orange and at that time also seemed to double in size and looked more like it was on "fire".
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks See above. Not as much fragmentation as it appeared to be an expansion.
