I actually thought what I saw might have been a firecracker until I got home and saw several reports of a light streaking across the Alabama sky, at roughly the same time I saw the green light over Elmore. Second meteor/fireball I\'ve seen in my lifetime!

Remarks
I only saw it very briefly and almost out of the corner of my eye, but it was definitely glowing (bright green) with a smoke trail. It actually looked a lot like a firecracker fizzing out.
