| Remarks | Much like a sonic boom. Rattled the house. Boom was low (bass) and rumbled for approximately 2 solid seconds. Hundreds of witnesses here in Alabama. Here\'s an included blog on facebook hosted by meteorologist James Spann of ABC 33/40 Birmingham, Alabama. I didn\'t see the object others observed. I saw what appeared to be a high flying aircraft on a west/northwest heading. It appeared to be moving at a rate nearly twice the speed of those aircraft (passenger jets, etc) I regularly observe and it was on an azimuth or path on which I rarely see any aircraft. https://www.facebook.com/jamesspann |
