Reports Report 1658af (Event 1658-2020)

Observer
Name Theresa M
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I feel like more people would have seen this last night in this area, if there was even some way to get some media coverage about it - a little story on local news - you might get more people who share their observations and can paint a bigger picture. (I wouldn't go on the news personally, but I was googling before to see if there were any stories about this / or people talking about it online as it was so out of place / unexpected).

Remarks It appeared very close to the ground (almost palm tree level) and was trailing off with what looks like fragments falling away. There was no sound but it was so close to the address identified on the map that this piece (perhaps this was a fragment and not the full fireball itself) appeared to have come down right in the neighborhood. I was on a call with people further South in Ft. Lauderdale, FL (near Port Everglades / Marriott Harbor Village) and when I exclaimed I was seeing something that looked like a low lying firecracker (no noise, definitely wasn't a firecracker) they also indicated they saw the same thing - I was seated outside facing south/east, they were facing north. It was 6:55 or 6:56 PM, I've never seen anything like this before - anywhere! - which is why I'm sharing.
