Reports Report 2027y (Event 2027-2020)

Observer
Name J. J
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks It was brilliant for only a moment and resembled a rocket going west just above the horizon; I could not make your form work but I was looking south from my south facing front deck, and it was moving from east to west. I have never seen anything like this. Born in 1943, I grew up near McDonald Observatory as a child In far west Texas where the night sky was very visible and attended as many star parties there as possible. I have a degree in science, but not astronomy. I have never seen anything like it before. It was more like a rocket than a "falling star" or any meteor I have ever seen. I am happy to try to describe it further ( still remembering because it was so bright and seemingly well formed, like a rocket - (a flash white with a red/orange tip and a short but very bright tail).
