| Remarks | I did not see this, but myself & 2 other family members heard a loud boom and felt the house shake at 6:18 pm PDT on May 6, 2020 - we all ran outside to check nothing had hit the house - later I read on our small community Facebook page that the same loud boom had been heard by others and one person reported they had seen a fireball at the exact time we heard this boom - so I am reporting this to you, as no other explanations had come forward in our community to explain this house shaking boom - I know that airbursts from meteors breaking up can send a shock wave thru the atmosphere (I teach this at my local University of Washington Planetarium to school and public audiences for past 15 years - I am also a NASA Solar System Ambassador volunteer educator) |
