| Remarks | I was listening to loud music in my car while driving southbound on I-275 in Metro Detroit. If there was any noise concurrent with the phenomenon, I couldn’t hear it over the music. |

| Remarks | The first appearance resembled a bright light-yellow disc, about a quarter the size of the sun seen from sea level. A better description of the color is like quickly glancing at an incandescent light-bulb. Yet the brightness wasn’t enough to light up the sky or hurt the eyes. It happened about 35-40 minutes after sunset, when the sky was dark green/blue before it went black. It trailed for about an inch when looking at the sky. But, when it vanished, it left nothing behind. |
