Remarks this was by far the largest and brightest " shooting star" type thing i have ever seen (i am 48 yrs old). it was so big, it appeared to be close to my location.

Remarks the flash looked to be the source of the fragmentation. the flash was brighter and lighter in color than the trail. the trail was more orange, the flash was more yellow, almost white.
