Remarks | The fire ball was a very bright green and at first I thought it was a firework. But I quickly saw that it was moving far too fast to be a firework. If it was close, the speed appeared to be roughly 1,000 feet per second. It was very low on the horizon and moving at a shallow downward angle. It appeared to be very close and near the Flatiron Mountains located just west of Boulder and was moving at a trajectory towards the community of Eldorado Springs. I've seen quite a few fireballs over the years, but never one this close and never one so vibrant green in color. |
