Remarks I was fishing and had just cast a bait out and returned to my bed in my open fronted bivvy. I was laying facing East South East looking above the distant treeline and I saw what I first thought was a Plane as it rose up from the horizon but was travelling much quicker. As it approached I noticed it was what looked like a meteor / fireball with a flaming tail. What i found strange is that it rose from the horizon and did not come from the sky down. I have seen many meteor showers in the past and most enter the atmosphere from a steep angle. It then continued climbing overhead but lost sight due to a tree. The tail was glittering like burning embers but did not notice any smoke trail or noise as it traveled overhead. At the height it was travelling seemed that it may have been in low earth orbit? Then thought it could even be some space debris burning up such as an old sattelite? Unfortunately I could not react quick enough to take a photo but have looked online to see if anyone else has reported anything similar but found nothing.
