I indicated no fragmentation however the trail did seem to show glowing particles in the trail. I did not see the initial flash directly but it was bright enough to catch my attention while I was looking north at the time.

The train with the fireball looked like an exclamation point. The initiation point was larger and tapered toward the fireball as it descended.
