Remarks This is the first place I can type so i want to clear up some things I said to get to this page. 3 people saw this, I don't remember the exact date, could probably find out. I have seen hundreds of "shooting stars", but this one came in very very low, we could hear it (sizzle or like how a frying pan sounds, then it exploded about .2 miles(maybe 2-3 football fields away) above the ground (maybe at like 600') it exploded like a firecracker. It separated into many glowing fragments…Crazy stuff never saw a shooting star a couple hundred yards away, never heard one, never saw the last milli-second of one exploding. It has to be very rare. It was so close I thought about (and did) metal detect for remnants. 3 people were like "what the heck". yeah crazy thing to witness. Again -I am a scientist and to clarify, I don't remember the exact day and time, BUT as for location 100%. it was less than a quarter mile from us when it exploded. We watched it shrink and sizzle for over 10 seconds easy. How rare is that to see the end of a long journey through space-time. I have exact data of where it went bc I used a tree as reference for where it exploded, the information I gave earlier on this form is close, but I don't want to give away exact location online, you dig
Delayed Sound
Observation Yes
Remarks the boom sound when it exploded (we where so close it lite up the ground kinda) was not that loud, like a small cannon. surprisingly not too loud,,crazy thing to SEE
Persistent train
Observation Yes
Duration 20s
Length 45°
Remarks it was dusk, but the trail was colored and maybe smoky, I'll ask my wife, she was there too. the angle was more parallel than I have ever seen. kinda scary.. like what's that sound, and shoot duck!!!
Terminal flash
Observation Yes
Remarks boom, that the end of that space rock, explode but not crazy loud, like it was small and just exploded
Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks green/blue then fragments turned orange (like when you weld something that cloro) for a secant and fell to ground , it was dark then
