Seen through a window and a stand of tall trees. Astonishingly bright like a parachute flare or searchlight. Unf I saw only a limited arc of travel. Brighter than the moon. Its light fell onto my face (in bed about to sleep) like bright moonlight or a flashlight shone in the eyes, and got my attention. Fell fast nearly vertical. Lost it in the foliage. Seemed to be SW of my position.
