| Remarks | Although the moon was less than an hour from setting, the bright light caught my wife's eye from over her shoulder. She was able to say "look!" and I caught the bright light and fragmentation. I've seen a number of objects enter the atmosphere, but this was one of the more "beefier" ones I've seen to date. I listened for a sound afterward and heard a rumble, but I dismissed it as possibly a heavy truck on a freeway approximately .2-.3 miles to the north, but I'm not certain. |

| Terminal flash | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Technically it was not a terminal flash. There was a slight increase in intensity just before the object fragmented. |
| Fragmentation | |
|---|---|
| Observation | Yes |
| Remarks | Object broke into 5-6 separate pieces of varying smaller sizes (judged by light intensity) and the light dimmed rapidly (less than 1 second) until it was gone. |
