| Remarks | The brightness was the main thing that got my attention. I was aware of the Perseid meteor shower and had observed it in this location before, but I was planning to view the shower on the projected dates. This was several days before those dates. I was not even watching the sky, but the sudden brightness in the sky made me look up. |
