Reports Report 166bx (Event 166-2013)

Observer
Name April R
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks From my standing position, the fireball appeared to be coming straight at me. I did not see a tail initially. When it was about eye level with me, I could see the short, flame very clearly. The flame was whipping hard like a flag in a gust. The flames were blue off the body and extended right into orange. I could hear crackling. I heard the sonic boom a second after the ball brightened. I watched it descend into the darkness. It appeared to have shot right into the woods about 2 football fields or less from where I was standing. After I lost sight, I heard yet another sound, like a painful sounding belly flop. After that, I just heard neighboring dogs barking. Total time about 4-5 seconds.
