Reports Report 8152l (Event 8152-2020)

Observer
Name Robert B
Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I viewed the object through the windshield of a Ford F350 Transit van. It has(from where I sit) a 60deg angle up from level visibility. I did not witness the entrance of the object into the atmosphere so there was no start of pinpoint of light growing to the fireball. Just a bright light falling and flashing then fragmenting. There was time to glance for the phone realize the impossibility of a photo and look back at the show. Along the track of the fireball there are power lines both very thin and thick, there is also elevated buildings and trees. The fireball never crossed these so the elevations I got with the suunto instrument are reasonable. I had the heat and fans on full so if there was sound I wouldn't be able to hear it. Two and one half seconds, that is my estimation of the event.

Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks it fragmented into three pieces, it looked lob sided, when it came apart there were three pieces, two the same size, one the size of the two fragments put together. the two smaller pieces came off on the west side of the larger segment then all three went out and the sky was black. That is why I could not see any smoke from the fall it was still night.
