Reports Report 468t (Event 468-2021)

Observer
Name Jonathan N
Experience Level 3/5
Remarks I was out for my regular morning run . It was the brightest light I have seen in the night sky (moon aside) since around 18 years ago when I witnessed a bright meteor flash across the night sky not far from the same site. I have enjoyed 'shooting stars' or meteors since my father took me camping when I was a boy. I have seen hundreds over the years. I am 62 this year and my optician told me last year that my eyesight has actually improved over the last 10 years (short sight having being compensated by long-sightedness as I have aged). I was sober and wearing my contact lens at the time. I can't think of any explanation other than a bright meteor for what I saw, knowing the location as well as I have for many years.
