Reports Report 237l (Event 237-2013)

Observer

Experience Level 1/5
Remarks I asked around, and no one else seems to have seen this. It's hard to beleive everyone missed it because it was very bright. I remember telling a friend that it was either a comet or a plane on fire hurtling to the ground. I knew of course it wasn't a plane, but it really was a fireball falling from the sky except it dissapated before hitting the ground. Also, I was inside my car so I don't know if there was any sound associated or not, but I would guess there would be more reports had there been. I observed a comet firsthand in the 1990's on July 4th, confirmed by the local newspaper, and this sighting is the closest resemblence to that experience I've ever had. (Especially considering the colors, although it was mostly bright white, and that it had such a long, bright trail) Falling stars are much dimmer, farther away, and shorter/faster experiences. If I hadn't been driving, I would've had time to record it on my phone.
