Remarks What I am saying is important: In case it may be of any value, on early morning Dec 22, 2020 while headed to Calgary taking my wife to a Foothills Hospital medical appointment, and driving north on Highway 2 on a long straight stretch between Nanton and High River I saw the meteor fall in my rear view mirror. It first caught my eye as it lit up the clouds in the sky the same way lightning can. My first thought was that it must be just lightning. Then I saw a point of light coming down trailed by what looked like smoke. After a second it burst into a bright distinctly irregular object - looked like an almost square rectangle but slightly trapezoidal - bright green. That lasted for a couple of seconds until it disappeared. I wondered at the time if it was a part from a satellite. I found out later hearing a new report it was blue, but my rear window dark tinting of dark brown (yellowish) acted like a filter and made it look bright green to me when it burst. As for direction and allowing for the reversed image in my rear view mirror, the meteor, in reference to say a spot about 150 meters from behind my car, was headed about a distance of the width of a driving lane away from the west pavement edge of the road in a slight direction to the southwest. I would be surprised if this meteor never made it to the ground. I understand they move at about 20km/second.
