Reports Report 1227a (Event 1227-2021)

Observer
Name Nick W
Experience Level 4/5
Remarks Incredible! Lasted for at least 6 seconds, very slow moving yet way too fast to be any kind of aircraft. Went across 1-3 to 1-2 the sky in that amount of time. At first I thought it was an airplane but was moving way too fast and had no red or green lights or anything, an then I realized what it was as it startred popping with a few blue bulbs on the front and trail, lost it behind the trees and it didnt come out the other side. Truly one of the best night time fireballs I've ever seen for sure! Didn't see any fragmentation or any terminal flash, wonder if it hit ground somewhere... Nevada or Utah or something it would probably have been aimed for, maybe further given that it didn't have much of an angle, more of a steady arc across the sky from my left to my right like a flattened rainbow shape starting at about 60 deg high on my 10 o'oclock and ending 60 deg high at my 2:30 with a peak of maybe 75 deg high when it was directly in front of me. I bet quite a few people saw this biggun! Cheers! ^_^
