| Remarks | I am the secretary of Thanet Astronomy Group in Kent, England, UK. We are a fairly small group of amateur astronomers (40 members). Our group has been going for over 7 years so I am very familiar with observing meteor showers but this is the most outstanding meteor/fireball I have ever witnessed! It was sheer luck that the bright orange flash caught my eye, looking West out of my lounge window, at the time of the event! |
