| Remarks | We were looking directly at the Big Dipper, which was vertical in the sky, handle down, directly behind our house. The fireball appeared to the right of the plough handle, yellow orange and white, flaming, and heading left to right. It sort of splattered and smoked as some bits broke off, then faded out. It appeared twice or three times as big as Jupiter to the naked eye. |
