Reports Report 1787bn (Event 1787-2021)

Observer
Name Jared H
Experience Level 5/5
Remarks Was working with staff on the west-side of Griffith Observatory's roof livestreaming a view of the Moon through one of our portable telescopes as a part of the 2021 Vernal Equinox celebrations. Took me a few seconds to realize what I was witnessing and said "WOW LOOK!" to the roof and all on the roof, 9 persons total, including 2 with astronomy-related PhDs, witnessed the fireball. Absolutely spectacular.

Fragmentation
Observation Yes
Remarks Saw 2 distinct major fragmentation events, minor fragmentation was occurring constantly from first view to fireball disappearing. Very much looked like a fast firework trailing sparklers while breaking apart into little bright bits. Mostly white in color, fragments though were a combination of faded red and faded green.
