My husband saw the last few seconds of this event. Neither of us have seen anything like this before. It was very quiet outside and we heard absolutely no sound connected to it.

When i first saw it, there was a tight cluster of approximately 8 bright lights with trails. As they crossed the sky they spread out and faded.
