I was on the front doorstep turned slightly to my right and spotted it in the gap between the houses and a 3 story block of flats opposite. It was angled downwards and was below the height of the 3 story flats. It was travelling at speed so I only saw it for a second or so because the flats in the road obscured my view as to it's progress, but it was heading in the direction of the Greywell shopping centre at Leigh Park. I could not leave the house to go to investigate. I did not hear a bang, although a short time later I heard an alarm sounding (although this may have been coincidental). The time is a bit of a guess as I had to have a 2nd cigarette as I didn't know what I should do (!) so it may have been a few minutes previously to that given. Although I have no real experience I do look at the sky and stars when I am outside of the house at night and I have seen satellites passing over but these are very high up and this was lower than the 3 storey flats on a downward trajectory so was a bit of a surprise. |
