Remarks I am an amateur astronomer and happened to be looking toward Arcturus when I first saw the fireball which appeared about due east and at the same altitude as Arcturus but more eastward. The fireball passed below Arcturus and vanished below the handle stars of the Big Dipper.

Remarks The trail got wider as it progressed and appeared to change colors from white to yellow with fringing of blue and red particularly before it appeared to fade.
