I have seen several shooting stars out in the desert or outside of the city but this was by far the brightest I have ever seen by a lot. Especially given the area I was in with all the coastal haziness and light pollution of such a populated area made it stand out to me as a rare and unique occurrence

Remarks
Bright light like an extremely bright shooting star with a trailing almost fizzling type of trail, could see it fragment and dissipating like little individual dots
